The best part of FilBookFestival 8 was meeting so many authors, poets, illustrators, creatives, publishers, and artists who are celebrating our stories. We are so grateful to everyone ho helped put the event together including the PAWA team and everyone at the library, particularly Jaena, Karen, and Edwin.

DILIM had a booth towards the side (next to our buddies Arkipelago Books) and offered our books at the PAWA Marketplace. We were able to stock Galleon Dreaming as well as Rainbow Dreams, two titles that embrace our multiple identities. In the spirit of “Sanggalan: Stories that Propel us, Stories that Protect us” we enjoyed the panels, discussions and conversations, and meaningful sharing that happens when creatives bring their work forward.
Thanks to PAWA’s help we were able to sell 56 copies of Galleon Dreaming Founders Edition in the store as well as at our booth and also donate a percentage back to PAWA.

Authors Maleia Mortis and J.J. de Melo were able to sign copies of Galleon Dreaming.

Editor Monica T. S. Flores was in a panel discussion called “Magic, Mystery, and The Surreal in Philippine Diasporic Fiction” and here are some excerpts:

And we had wonderful meals, fun programming, and a great way to connect with all the participants, readers, and conference attendees.
Thank you everyone! Sanggalan!
